Most of us need additional support in our day to day lives. Conscious, or intentional breathing is a great addition to other daily routines. It costs nothing and can be done anywhere and at any time.
You will never leave home without this precious tool! Breathing is a major puzzle piece to better health.
For example, deep breathing improves blood circulation and can be utilized to lower blood pressure. There are breathing techniques to help weather anxiety and stress. With proper breathing techniques, you can manage pain and curb hunger pangs when fasting.
But wait! This blog is titled Breathing with Crystals.
What do crystals have to do with breathing?
These two vices combined can take your healing journey to the next level.
Crystals have been used for centuries in various cultures. Because of their make-up, they should be seen as more than pretty rocks. Crystals contain minerals and they have and are energy. Our bodies need minerals, and we have and are energy. We were created from the earth elements just as crystals were.
How can you utilize crystals when doing breathing exercises?
First, set the intention of the breathing exercise.
What do you desire to achieve in your breathing session?
Lower blood pressure?
Improve lung capacity?
Relieve stress and anxiety?
Improve digestion?
Learn to love yourself?
Once you decide the intention of your breathing exercise, pick the appropriate exercise and utilize two crystals that support this intention.
If you are not sure, use clear quartz to magnify the intention or smoky quartz for grounding. There is no wrong way to do it and no wrong crystal to use.
Here is a great exercise to get you started:
While holding a crystal in each hand, close your eyes.
Breathe in through your nose for a count of three, then, breathe out of your nose for a count of three.
When breathing in, hold your crystals, semi tightly. When exhaling, open your hand. When inhaling and closing your hand over your crystal, imagine breathing in the essence and energy of the crystal.
When breathing out and opening your hand, imagine breathing out anything that is not benefitting you such as fear, anger, worry, anxiety, sickness, etc. (However, release these feelings with no intention of harming anything else).
Repeat each round of breaths until you feel a release or until you desire to stop.
As you get more familiar with crystals and which breathing exercises work best for you, I encourage you to make it a daily practice.
